Cooperative Auto Inflation System

Cooperative Auto Inflation System was a functional tire service in Culver City, CA. The gallery was once an auto repair shop, and the pressurized air infrastructure was reactivated for this exhibition. The air line once again became the functional backbone of the space; 24 segmented helmet-hoses connected to draw the air to patrons’ car tires. The cooperative venture was fraught with moments of disconnection and failure, but collective energy and a clear goal held the line together.
